Better..and Better

Abby is doing much better. Yesterday was our first day of no cortisone shots. We were to watch her and make sure she didn't seem any worse, and I can proudly say she is as happy as a lark. She is pooping lots now, and very happy.

Her ability to stand is getting better and better. Last night when Matt came home, which is the most exciting part of the day for Abby, she stood right up and tried to take off. This didn't work out too well, but I must say it was her best attempt.

There is a lot going on this weekend, and I am excited to get the Absters out and about. I have a friends with a nice dog bag, so I might see if Abby will fit in this, or else Petco has these dog packs. There look convenient, but I just don't know how cool I would look with that on my chest:) I really shouldn't care, though.

  1. Personally, I think that dog pack rocks! But, I don't think Jeeter would fit in it... :(

So glad to hear about Abby! She will be up and running in no time.

  2. I love the idea of the dog pack! I think you should do it and you'll be happy you did. I wish I had one for Riley, but it would probably scare him to death, as sensitive as he is. lol.

I'm thinking that I might buy a stroller for him...one that fits on the back of my bike and then he could just roll along on rides with me. Well, on second thought, that would probably scare him, too. He's a big fraidy-cat.

So glad Abby is doing good. Go Abby!!!!!!!

  3. You guys are hilarious! I think I am just going to go buy the pack, and then if she doesn't like it, they said I have lots of time to return it.

Barbara-They have all kinds of strollers on the petco website. They are so cool. I like that idea too. They run a bit spendy, though.

  4. It's wonderful to hear of how well Abby is doing. I'm so glad! :)

That doggy pack would have been useful when we had our Yorkshire terriers. When Dandy, the male, reached about 15 he couldn't get around very well and I used to carry him when I went for a walk.... just for him to get some fresh air and to see the outside world for a while. Mind you, I can't see Abby being very happy to stay in that for long..... she'll be wanting to run about! :D

I hope Abby is continuing to progress. I still think of her. :)
